Come Meet MaDottie

The Founder of Daughters of the Struggle (DOTS)

Hi, I’m MaDottie—founder of Daughters of the Struggle. The name MaDottie isn’t just a title—it’s a symbol. In this organization, our girls are lovingly called the “DOTS,” and I proudly stand as their guiding force—the “Mother of the DOTS.” That’s where MaDottie comes from. It represents the heart, protection, and leadership I give to every girl who becomes part of this sisterhood.

I created DOTS to pour into young Black girls the love, truth, and strength many of us never received growing up. We talk about real issues—mental health, identity, missing girls, violence, and purpose—and we face them together. Through this movement, I want our girls to know they are not alone, and that healing, confidence, and leadership live inside them.

Come meet me, hear the story behind this movement, and find out how your daughter, niece, or student can join something powerful.

With love and fire,
